Oldcastle Books is offering a 3 month PR & sales support internship (Tuesday - Friday). They are looking for an enthusiastic, efficient individual who is prepared to take on the challenge of working across their six fiction and non-fiction imprints. The role will involve creating awareness for their books across a wide range of platforms, developing strong author profiles and building the Oldcastle Books brand. Day to day, the role will involve the dissemination of information required to achieve this; working closely with authors, and partners in order to maintain their working relationship with journalists, bookshops and festivals.
You will be need to be highly organised and able to work independently, bringing creative ideas to their list that will drive sales through targeted media coverage, social media and events. You will relish a challenge and enjoy meeting new people, developing strong contacts and finding more about their audience and the ways to attract them.
Initially the position will be offered as a 3 month Paid Internship but with the prospect of progressing the right person to an employed position as a Publicity & Sales Support Executive.
